Synergy of Hope

Synergy of Hope is a 501c3 nonprofit organization that serves the rural towns of Ash Grove, Walnut Grove, and Everton in Missouri. Our mission is to connect community members to resources, to the community and to each other.

TO RESOURCES: While larger cities have ample resources available to help meet community needs, these smaller towns are lacking not only in the availability of these resources but also in ways and knowledge to access them. We at Synergy, work directly with community members letting them know what is available and help them to obtain that access. By utilizing a portable resource center, we bring the information directly to the outlining areas and follow up to make sure the connections were made. In cases where a resource is missing, we help fill that gap to set up that resource to meet those needs.

TO COMMUNITY: We believe that a strong community begins with connections. When someone is in need, the community members should know who to contact and where to go within the community. By helping connect members to what is going on locally they become more aware of what’s available and each other. We create community moments to make this happen including community wide scavenger hunts, free trade days, and resource fairs.

TO EACH OTHER: It takes a village to raise a child, but our villages have become fragmented shells of individuals who have no idea who their neighbors are or what they are going through. We have isolated ourselves and in so doing, have shut out the very resource we all need most, which is each other. At Synergy, we work to help rebuild these personal connections. We coordinate and sponsor community wide events designed to get people talking and having fun together including community picnics, craft days, and games in the park events.

Our goal is to reconnect our community to each other, rebuild our connections, and reignite the flame of unity.

Our Framework of Hope

The H.O.P.E. Framework

H – Harvest Insights: We identify and continually assess the unique needs of our village and map out every available resource that’s already available to them.

O – Open Access: We act as a local bridge, opening doors for rural families to access regional resources that are often centralized in larger cities, or are not well known smaller resources available locally, ensuring that every village member knows where to find resources and how to reach it.

P – Partner for Strength: We don’t compete, we collaborate. We actively partner with local school boards, local governments, other non-profit, and rural churches to strengthen the existing support network. This collaborative approach creates a true synergy of service within the communities and creates a unified front for local youth.

E – Equip the Village: Where our research identifies a "missing service" in the Ash Grove/Walnut Grove/Everton corridor, we step in. We fill critical gaps by developing specific programs, resource kits, or community events to fill that gap directly to ensure that our village has every tool necessary to raise the next generation.

Our Approach

We believe that the world is a better place when it is united in its goals. Our goals are for our future. To have a future full of hope and certainty without fear over lack of resources. Our process is simple and straightforward with easy ways for everyone to get involved. We believe great results will come from open collaboration, and this shared dream of hope.
